“Hercule mourant” by Dauvergne at the Mayer junior high school (Paris, 18th)
For the third consecutive year, Les Talens Lyriques will be working in the gymnasium of the Mayer junior high school from November 15 to 17, 2011 to rehearse the lyric tragedy “Hercule Mourant” by Dauvergne, a program given as part of the "Grandes Journées Dauvergne" of the Baroque Music Center of Versailles.
In preparation for the residence, the pupils took part in: - discovery workshops around music under Louis XIV and Louis XV; - declamation workshops around recitatives in Baroque opera; - visits-workshops at the Museum of Music-Cité de la Musique; - a "music at Versailles" visit to the Château of Versailles and the Baroque Music Center of Versailles.
