Within the framework of its educational residences, Les Talens Lyriques comes to meet young people in their schools. But the idea of the project is really to allow these young people to discover a world beyond the one they know on a day-to-day basis, including cultural establishments that they don’t usually visit. That is why Les Talens Lyriques established, in conjunction with its artistic activities, partnerships with prestigious cultural institutions, such as the Museum of Music - Cité de la Musique, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Baroque Music Center of Versailles (CMBV), the Château of Versailles, and the Opéra Comique. Pupils can also leave the school environment and take part in visits, workshops, rehearsals and concerts in the Paris region.
The Museum of Music and the Cité de la Musique:
Les Talens Lyriques and the Museum of Music -Cité de la Musique carry out a teaching partnership throughout the school year (visits-workshops, participation in dress rehearsals, discussions about careers with the Médiathèque, etc.).
Le Château, the Royal Opera and the CMBV in Versailles: Visiting one of the most important sites of Baroque architecture seems essential for understanding the spirit and the esthetic of this period. Every year, Les Talens Lyriques therefore organize, in partnership with the Museum of Music -Cité de la musique, visits to the château focusing on music at Versailles and the various places where it was played. We also organize visits to the CMBV with the possibility of attending rehearsals on site.
Le Théâtre des Champs-Elysées: For each production of operas or concerts of Les Talens Lyriques at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, pupils can attend workshops with the musicians in the Foyer de la Danse, visits of the Theater and its backstage areas, introductory lectures and dress rehearsals, for which they receive tickets. The pupils discovered Ariodante by Handel, directed by Lukas Hemleb in March 2007, and La Calisto by Cavalli, directed by Macha Makeïff in May 2010.
